Matoula Beach - Ialysos (Rhodes)

great base for exploring beautiful rhodes attractions and sandy beaches

i had a wonderful time relaxing by the clean pool and enjoying the warm hospitality of the staff, while also being just a short walk from the fine Ialysos beach and local dining options that serve delicious food.

compact & reasonably spacious room with tv, basic toiletries, as example. efficient service, a good restaurant on site. quiet and wonderful location not far from a supermarket and shops.

Such a very pleasant stay for take relax and good vacation. Exceptionally clean hotel with really helpful staff and excellent location close to Sun beach resort, local restaurants and the west coast which is very windy all the time.

The Greek Night was a highlight, featuring delicious local dishes and lively music that brought everyone together. Our room had a wonderful view of the pool and sea, which made our mornings even more special.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable and with a large grass area around the pool.

The breakfast is quite spartan. Also, what was not apparent from the description nor reviews, was that the hotel is situated just below the landing path of the nearby airport, I.E. there is a regular very high noise all day from numerous aircraft just a few hundred meters above. The beach is nothing special, pebbles and constant wind. The area around the hotel seems a bit on the decline, with all-inclusive hotels taking over business from independent restaurants etc.

Beach had nice sun beds, but breakfast options were quite lacking.

Poor breakfast served very early in the morning.The staff was asking all the time if we are finished.

Plane noise can be an annoyance during the day!!! Limited entertainment options make evenings less engaging!!! Inadequate sound insulation allows for disturbances from neighboring rooms!!!

Friendly and helpful personel. Clean and tidy. Breakfast buffe was good and the staff filled the plates quickly if anything was missing. Just a few minutes walk from the beach and the pool area was good.

The breakfast.

They charge you for internet(5euro for 90 minutes). Only allowed to keep ac on parts of the day. The beach it is close to (made it seem like it was on the beach, but it is not) is both windy and stony, and has airplanes flying overhead (as if you were on the runway) every 5-10 minutes. The rooms are small and do not have good views. The beach is only good for windsurfing and parasailing. The beaches to visit are on the other side of the island. Don't book a hotel anywhere on this side of the island. Book in Faliraki, Kalithea, or Lindos. I had to rent a scooter and drive 45minutes to an hour to see these beaches. Old town Rhodes is incredible so if you are set on being in Rhodes, be closer to the city! This hotel is not a good hotel!! On top of all this information, the staff where unfriendly and impatient.

The friendly staff, and the spacious room was a pleasant surprise. It was great with comfortable amenities and delicious dining options.

breakfast selection could be improved.

We loved the pool area and found enough sunbeds available. The beach is just a short walk away. Try the Greek night. It's really fun, and don't miss out on windsurfing if you enjoy water sports! Recommended restaurants are nearby, too.

The only downside was that the breakfast selection started feeling repetitive after a few days, but it was still tasty.
